THE LORD IS AT WORK

Recently, Brett Carl (Missions Pastor at Westminster Reformed PCA in Suffolk, VA) participated in a our annual Missions Pastors Forum. He took some of the statistics he heard from Dr. Kooistra back to his media guy and came up with this. I think this would be a great tool to use on a Sunday morning before or during a missions conference.

“Refer a Friend” Discount

Each new friend (or extended family member) that you recruit to join your church’s team will receive a $20 discount. That same $20 discount will also be applied to the individual that recruited the friend or extended family member. Team leaders must give both the name of the person that was recruited, and which existing team member recruited them.

Kitchen Discounts

Kitchen workers will receive $100 off. Workers must be 18 years old and above. You cannot receive both a family and kitchen discount.

Family Discounts

With one parent / spouse attending, $100 off for spouses and teens (12-18); $100 off for young people 6-11 and $400 off for children 5 and under. You cannot receive both a family and kitchen discount.

Deposits

Deposits can be applied to the balance due for the team but are non-refundable.

Payment due dates and penalties

First half payment is due April 2^nd, 2012. Late fee after due date is $20 per person.

Final payment is due May 1^st, 2012. Late fee after due date is $20 per person.

Team forms and team member information

All team forms and team member information are due by May 1, 2012.  Team's that have not submitted their forms and information by May 1^st will incur the same late fee ($20 per person) as if final payment had not been received.

Refunds

Before May 1^st we are able to give partial, but not no full refunds.  The amount of refund is project specific and depends on actual food, lodging, ministry, and staff expenses.  Medical conditions and death in the family will be taken into consideration.

Thanks to everyone for making the last week at Dayspring a success!  We enjoyed having Eric and Laura Vinson lead our worship and Adam Powers share God's word with us.  

Summer 2011 at Dayspring may be complete but don't forget to keep the project, home owners,  Rachel Snider, Myra and David Hamilton, and Christ Community Church in your prayers year round as!

Bethel Presbyterian Church from Sparta, Illinois served a mother and daughter in Bridgeport this week by:

• Tearing out part of a garage
• Rebuilding wall for garage
• Repairing and siding walls on the garage

On both homes:

• Tearing out an old deck
• Building a new deck on home

 

Cornerstone Presbyterian Church from Delafield, Wisconsin served three home owners this week in Fairmont by:

• Re roofing patches on house
• Repairing floor in bedrooms
• Painting bedrooms
• Installing baseboard in bathroom
• Installing shutters on two side walls
• Priming and painting back porch floor
• Changing trim around doors in dining room and painting
• Installing baseboards in bedroom
• Installing tub surround and vanity in bathroom

Covenant Presbyterian Church from Saint Louis, Missouri worked in Fairmont this week by:

• Installing drywall in dining room – ceiling and walls
• Building a carport at end of the house

Safe Harbor Presbyterian Church from Stevensville, Maryland is serving two home owners this week in Grant Town by: 

• Installing drop ceiling in kitchen
• Replacing front and back doors
• Installing support under beam in basement
• Painting upstairs bedrooms
• Installing doors entrance to living room
• Installing supports under front wall
• Replacing tiles in laundry room ceiling
• Replacing tiles in upstairs bathroom
• Installing new flooring
• Replacing back entrance door
• Replacing door to closet
• Re nailing trim in front bedroom
• Installing carpet in hallway
• Cleaning and painting back porch floor and stain railing and steps

Seven Run Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Millersville, Maryland is serving in Fairmont this week by:

• Installing new tub faucet and tub surround
• Repairing floor under toilet and resetting the sink
• Installing new ceiling fan in bedroom and remove ceiling fan in kitchen
• Installing new light fixture in kitchen
• Repair roof and porch roof
• Building a new front entrance door
• Replacing lockset on the back door
• Replacing faucet and drain on kitchen sink
• Installing new shower valve downstairs
• Replacing toilet, sink, and faucet
• Repairing front porch floor and banister to strengthen porch column

Stony Point Presbyterian Church from Richmond, Virginia served seven home owners this week in Fairmont by:

• Replacing ceiling fan in living room
• Installing a window in the living room
• Patching the floor in the laundry room, installing floor covering
• Gluing baseboards in the kitchen
• Painting porch and lattice
• Building a porch and walkway
• Replacing broken windows
• Building railing by backdoor outside of the kitchen
• Repairing concrete basement steps
• Repairing bathroom floor
• Repairing back roof
• Replacing tub surround and repair floor and wall in bathroom
• Repairing small wall on edge of back patio
• Replacing ceiling in bedroom
• Repairing roof above a bedroom
• Repair bathroom ceiling and wall
• Digging trench down right side of house
• Repairing cracks in the porch wall
• Repairing support under walkway of house
• Pouring concrete by corner of foundation of front porch
• Repairing/ replacing supports under back porch
• Replace soffit, fascia, and gutter on right side of home

Timonium Presbyterian Church of Timonium, Maryland served two home owners this week in Fairmont (Chesapeake) by:

• Installing a sink in the bathroom
• Finishing living room ceiling
• Painting exterior of home
• Repairing main roof and installing new shingles
