Week four comes to a close!


This week we would like to thank all the groups for their hard work and commitment to getting their projects done.  We had a great work week, ending with the obstacle of rain on Friday.  We are thankful the groups had hearts for Christ and his people and pushed through the challenge.  All host families this week were located in Fairmont.  Here is a little taste of week four at Dayspring…

Faith Presbyterian Church from Morganton, North Carolina blessed three home owners this week by:


First home:
  • Removed old roofing
  • Repaired sheeting and install new roof on back of home
  • Removed skylights and installed new rafters and sheeting and roof


Second home:
  • Removed chimney and re roofed back section of home
  • Removed old porch and built new porch
  • Built new carport
  • Roofed new porch

Third home:
  • Repaired bathroom floor
  • Replaced toilet and vanity
  • Installed new storm door entrance
  • Removed roofing on front porch and repaired sheeting before installing a new roof
  • Fixed leak in storage shed
This group also conducted a vacation Bible school at a local park













Faith Presbyterian Church from Olney, Maryland and Good News Presbyterian Church from Fredrick, Maryland worked together to share God’s love this week by:



  • Painting the exterior of a home
  • Hooking up plumbing for a bathroom sink
  • Building a wheel chair ramp









Grace Presbyterian Church from Indianapolis, Indiana served the Lord and two Fairmont residents this week by:


  • Built front porch roof
  • Installed gutters around front porch
  • Repaired roof over side porch and back of house
  • Poured Concrete for sidewalk
  • Building a weather barrier wall on front porch
  • Repaired floor in dining room
  • Replaced window on front of home
  • Trimmed shrubs
  • Conducted a Vacation Bible School











Thanks again to all the volunteers for their hard work and for having servant’s hearts this week as the rain came in on Friday. 

As week 5 at Dayspring begins today the staff would like to ask you to pray for strength and energy as there are three more weeks left in our summer here at Dayspring!
